What's more it also beat Mammotty's Kasaba day 1 collection, Vijay's Theri day 1 collection. On day 1 itself Mohanlal's movie beat Mammotty's film as it went on to collect Rs 4.08 crore, at the Kerala Box office as opposed to Rs 2.03 as per certain reports and 1.65 crore as per other reports. While both movies have received positive reviews, Mohanlal's Pulimurugan is racing ahead only to leave behind Mammootty's film. Fans were waiting to know, who would emerge a winner at the box office.
